The Official Fuckparade/Hateparade homepage

I’m back from the Fuck Parade in Berlin. The parade itself was denied a permit by the city authorities at the last minute, so it ended up being a demonstration march through the city instead of a full-blown parade with sound systems on trucks and all that. No music was allowed at all, which made for some pretty weird sights like people with ghettoblasters hanging around their necks and even one guy with a home made MP3 player on wheels.

At one point, outside the VolksbÜhne, a soundsystem started pumping beats into the crowd, which prompted immediate intervention from the riot police. Needless to say, the crowd wasn’t too pleased at someone being arrested for playing music and started showering the cops with bottles, cans, and a little confetti for good measure.

The cops brought in reinforcements, the crowd got angrier and a few arrests were made, but nothing extreme happened in the end.

The night was spent at the international underground party at Stellwerk which was worth it just to see Panacea and his Hollywood-style happy hardcore antics.
