The Times: Banana baffles takeaway children

A study in Scotland has shown that children with parents who rely heavily on takeaways and pre-processed food, don’t even know that a banana has to be peeled. If I hadn’t read this in The Times, I’d think it came straight from The Onion. I’m surprised though, these children of a fast-food nation are usually TV children too, and should have spotted at least one primate peeling fruit at some time or other on their screens.
