Back in the day, there were boards. Bulletin Board Systems. BBS’s. No Net, no Web, no cyberspace, nothing.

That all sounds very familiar to me. Aah, the good old days before error correction in modems when a bit of noise on the line meant a load of garbage on your screen, and when people thought you were a total nerd for sending messages electronically to others.
