The Chimera Project

I’ve been using Chimera as my default browser for a little while now and I have to say I’m impressed. It’s light, fast, uses Mozilla’s Gecko rendering engine and is OS X native. But where it really scores is when you enable HTTP pipelining. Sites just fly in! And if they’ve got mod_gzip enabled, it’s even faster. Slashdot being the prime example, as soon as I hit enter, the full page is on my screen.
