Yahoo: Norway Proposes New Digital Copyright Law

Denmark seems to be freedom black spot of the day. What with the local government proposing a new law that would make it illegal for Norwegians to rip their own CDs into MP3 format for personal use (would that make Apple or Creative Labs accessory to these outlawed acts?) and Bill Gates attempting to blackmail said government into supporting the European directive on software patents.

What’s next? Bill Gates pulling the same trick on the Belgian government by refusing to support the electronic ID card if they don’t champion the directive too?
