Searching with a mindset

Here’s something I would have expected coming from another well-known search engine lab, but it’s obvious Yahoo are getting a lot more agile these days.

Yahoo! Mindset lets you make the search results lean towards commercial or non-commercial links, depending on your… mindset.

This is fantastic. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been looking for product reviews and ended up with hundreds of online shops or comparison sites plugging their wares.

Google have gotten much better recently at getting relevant results but Mindset blows them out of the water.

The battle is on!
