The demonstrations yesterday seem to have gone relatively peacefully except for a few splinter groups causing trouble as usual, and police going overboard at the end. Le Soir has quitea positive articleabout the whole event, in contrast to most of the other news sources that are focusing on the violence. Ironic event of the day: plainclothes policemen inside the crowds of demonstrators werebeaten by riot policewho mistook them for troublemakers.
